Author born in Temple Texas, raised in Los Angeles California during the Fifties and the turbulent 60's, witnessed the rise of the civil rights movement, was a member of the black Student Union serving as Sargent of arms. Experienced the transition in African American society, from Nero to Black. Experienced the pride and exhilaration of the impact of Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcom X, and the subsequent loss of identity in the transition from Nero upward Mobility, to the stagnation of the Black power movement, resulting in the retreat to a capitalist agenda.
