Autorenporträt
Hilary was born on 4 March 1964 in Yorkshire. Her parents lived in Thornton Dale. After the family was complete with her sister, the whole family, including two beagles, eventually settled in Derby. She qualified as an Enrolled Nurse in October 1986, and nursed in various locations around England. Having qualified as a Staff Nurse in 1992, she was in nursing for over 37 years. Hilary had to retire recently on health grounds, and is now enjoying pursuing her hobbies which include reading, craft work and music. She is currently organist at her local church, and is also working towards her music exams in classical organ. Hilary initially wrote this book soon after her mother died, as it helped her with the grieving process. Since she first started it her father has also passed away, and she eventually decided to see about publishing the book, to help others in their journey. Hilary is married and lives with her lovely husband and a collie called Lightning.
