Hugh Whittaker is Professor in the Economy and Business of Japan at the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies, University of Oxford, and author of the recent book Building a New Economy: Japan's Digital and Green Transformation. Yoshifumi Nakata is Professor of Strategic Human Resource Management and Director of the Research Institute of STEM at Doshisha University. His research focuses on the relation between work environment and engineers' performance.
