We try to understand the variation in immunization by the different regions of Maharashtra. The study has also attempted to find the Dropouts in vaccination of Bacillus Calmette- Guerin (BCG), multiple doses of Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (DPT), multiple doses of Polio and Measles as well as gender ration in immunization is the main focus in the present study. The third round of the district level household survey (DLHS-3) of Maharashtra, which was conducted during December 2007 to December 2008, has been used. In order to a comprehensive understanding of variation in child immunization Dropout rate, gender ratio, and concentration index has been used and it's analyzed by socioeconomic and demographic characteristic of child. The study concludes that three regions has less immunization for child namely Khandesh, Vidharbha, and Marathwada on the other hand Konkan and Desh region has advantage for girls. Children in all region is highly immunized by Polio Vaccine but we found thatthere is higher dropout from BCG to Measles in both rural and urban area, also other poorest section in socio economic factor.
