Akiko Miyakoshi is a Japanese author and illustrator of children's books. She studied visual communication and design at the University of Musachino in Japan. Her first book was the critically acclaimed Typhoon Comes. The Tea Party in the Woods received the Nissan Children's Storybook and Picture Book Grand Prix.
