Much of life has changed dramatically in the past four generations. It is time for schools to reflect, honor and support the needs of students who will not walk into their father's future. It is neither a bandage that is needed nor a cast. Education is not ailing or broken. Rather,t is time for it to regrow from illustrious roots, honoring a legacy of greatness of purpose and clarity expounded over the centuries by teachers who understood and honored the human condition above and beyond the politics of the moment. With a renewed focus on humanity we will regrow into new charges, new visions, and new directions. Our educational system can honor what a student can give and do, preparing each youngster to fully actualize personal potential, proactively addressing developmental press, differentiating, based on understanding each child, empowering our youth to reassert ownership in the work of learning and thinking. Thus we strengthen the child, family, community, and focus time, energy and support to honor and enhance the person-hood that walks in our doors and soars forth, empowered to fully honor and share self through our diligence in potentiating the person.
