The book draws lessons from the experiences in Ilala Municipality and suggests alternative ways to the regulation of informal sector economic activities.

Grace is a graduate of ARDHI University (Tanzania) in collaboration with Technische Universität Dortmund(Germany). She is a practicing urban planner currently with Physical Planning department.She is also a part time lecturer at the University of Malawi(Chancellor College). She has also taught at a number of secondary schools in Malawi.
