Marmaduke Jinks is a journalist who worked on a great many UK newspapers, ran his own press agency, is a Samaritan, a long-distance runner (whose fastest marathon time is 2 hrs 28 minutes) and someone who also sings, performs and writes original songs under the name Johnny Dysfunctional. He reckons he has written "a few thousand songs" and once had a big hit in Greece only kept off the top spot by Shakira who he admits was "far better looking than him." During COVID-19 isolation in order to entertain himself he set himself a goal of writing three hilarious books in just three months. He completed five novel length manuscripts in six months!
