Bishop Elias Chakupewa was born in 1962 in a Muslim family at Mkongoro village in Kigoma Region.Went to Lutheran Junior Seminary in Morogoro, St. Andrew's College Kabare in Kenya. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree from St.Paul's Limuru in Kenya, M.A from UCU Uganda and TSM PA,USA. Currently he is the Bishop of Tabora. Elias is married to Lucy
