Much has been explored on the physical aspects of school going children¿s problems such as eyes, dental and oral health, immunization etc. There are very few studies that deal with the mental health and illness of school children. The present study is an attempt to bridge the gap between leisure time activities and mental health of school children and nursing to deliver sound mental health service. The aim of the study is to assess and identify the relationship between leisure time activities and mental health so that a holistic development of the child may be enhanced.
