Releasing My Trauma: The Root of Self-Sabotage is a self-help memoir on how the past impact our life, mental, physical, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual health. That leads to self-sabotaging behaviors in relationships, career, finances, self-love, and self-wellbeing. Years of unresolved hurt, abandonment, grief, anger, depression, fears, and negative thoughts of a lost six-year-old little girl who had not been released. An adult trying to navigate life as a hurt, broken, and angry six-year-old child not knowing how to let go of the past that was destroying her life, relationships, health, mental, finances, and self. The lack of self-love and tried to navigate through life as if everything was fine. As a result, I neglected my needs, health, happiness, peace, joy, and wellness. I abandoned myself. An unresolved past filled with grief, anger, molestation, familial abandonment and loved ones moving away all played a major role in shaping my behavior. On the outside, I was an adult. On the inside however, lived a wounded little girl who worked hard to protect herself from hurt, disappointment, and a broken heart. My commitment to myself was to never be hurt again... Even if it meant being alone. Moving forward is never easy, but it is a very necessary component in healing, growing, and finding yourself through all the garbage. I have decided to live in the now, not the past or the future. I thought I was fully invested in my relationships with myself and my exes, but I know now that I had no clue how to be. I may have been knocked down, but I will never stop fighting through all the obstacles and challenges.

Autorenporträt
An author, speaker, board certified health coach, mindset strategist, nutritional lifestyle coach, cycling instructor, and personal trainer with over 10 years of experience working with busy career women, kids, and families in the areas of obesity, fitness, chronic illnesses, mindset, nutrition, mental/physical health, and injury recovery.?As a child, stayed active and was an athlete in track & field, basketball, kickball, and softball. The love of being active led her to become an AFPA Certified Personal Trainer in 2010. Not long after becoming a personal trainer, she sustained a severe injury to my right knee. She didn't realize that that injury was going to change her life completely. Life is funny; she never thought that an athlete, who was in great physical condition and always kept a positive attitude, would go through a comprehensive reform both physically and mentally. That injury limited her ability to do what she love to do when she was a child that would turn into a career now business. She became very depressed; She found herself emotionally eating, doing nothing due to this injury. When she went back to work, she couldn't work with her clients; was put on desk duty. She ended up getting laid off. Going through all of this, she was unaware of what was happening to her mentally and physically until one day, she was preparing to go to a doctor's appointments, and could not pull her pants past her knees. She had always weighed 120 or less, size 0/4.She was pre-obese with the highest weight of193! She couldn't believe it, that's when all the unaddressed past mentally, emotionally, and physically appeared of suffering from her father's grief as a child, molestation, sexual assault, and not being in a good mental space. She had to make a decision; to change her mindset to help stay alive. The light bulb went off.?The journey helped her understand that losing weight is not just about exercising. It's about understanding the successful behaviors that lead to maintaining weight loss by addressing what keeps a person from a fantastic healthy lifestyle. This understanding led to her obtaining a Nutrition & Healthy Living Certification from Cornell University in 2018. In 2019, received a certification as an AFPA Health & Wellness Coach and AADP Board Certified Health Coach. In 2020, recertified AFPA advanced personal trainer and 2021, ASFA certified cycling instructor.
