"Role of Religion in Social Evolution", is a retitled work already posted somewhere that was previously titled "The Sociology of Religion", an original paper submitted to my Sociology of Development Class in partial fulfillment of the requirements for my master's degree in resource management but CBSUA, Pili, Camarines Sur. The purpose of this paper is not to be critical of any religion. The intention is simply to look at religion on its sociological perspective, or point of view. It shall be concerned merely on the study of the complementariness of religion and society in human history and in the evolution of human society. In particular, it will: shows the relationship between religion and society; Present the psychological and sociological theories on the universality of the religious phenomenon and behavior; Contain a definition of religion and its elements and society in its different evolutionary stages; and present a theoretical representation that shows the complementariness of religion and society, including an explanation of each of the predominant forms of religious belief that cropped up in the evolution of the human society.

Marcaida, Jr., MSRM., es un presbítero ordenado RCC en 1979, graduado de una Maestría en Ciencias en Administración de Recursos (MSRM) en la Universidad Estatal de Agricultura de Bicol Central, Pili, Cam. Sur en 2009 y actualmente presta servicios en el municipio de Camaligan, Cam Sur (Filipinas), como miembro del Consejo de Cultura y Arte Local.
