This book explores the Christian religious experience of the pneuma given in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14. The experience Paul mentions in these texts, as well as the mention of spirits in three different places, suggest that Paul was actually writing about communicating with the spirit world.

Autorenporträt
Clint Tibbs, born and raised in Cleveland, Mississippi, earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 2006. While his degree focuses on the original languages of the biblical text and the problems with its grammar, transmission, and interpretation, his interests have been primarily devoted to early Christian pneumatology, most especially the Homoousion pneumatology of the fourth century. Athanasius of Alexandria and the Cappadocian Fathers have been major areas of study in recent years. He now teaches philosophy and religious studies at a small public college in Mississippi where his students have access to courses by him in both biblical Hebrew and biblical Greek. He also teaches a course on the paranormal and the spirit world.
