Remembering! Discovering the Meaning of Communion as a Family is an in-depth curriculum featuring stories, activities and games created specifically for families and churches to teach the meaning of communion. Each lesson consists of a teacher devotional, a complete lesson plan, an original story and activities to do together as a family. While the curriculum is designed for children, parents and church leaders may find their own heart enriched as they study this beautiful celebration of Jesus' sacrificial love for us. Highlights of this curriculum - An engaging weekly story to explore the Biblical truth through the eyes of a child - Symbolic Seder Meal (week 1) - Parent and child discussion activities and games that allow families to interact and grow together - Special projects to do at home that form a basis for family devotional times - Family communion service (week 4) - Family communion preparation card to help you and your child be ready to participate in communion services throughout the year As an educator for over 35 years, Kimberly Fast brings her understanding of children and her love for Jesus together to assist church leaders and families in passing on their faith values to the next generation. Kimberly is passionate about creating curriculum that targets the way a child learns. However, her favorite pastime is weaving stories for children that engage their imagination and create a word picture that brings Biblical principles to life. Kimberly has a master's degree in curriculum and instruction and is a mother of three adult children who she and her husband home schooled. She currently serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at her local church as well as the principal of a Christian school.
