Janice Steele is Terri's mother. She is a former insurance agent and a former adjunct instructor for York Technical College. She currently works as an Administrative Office Assistant for Blackmon Insurance Group. She is the founder of A New Road, a support group for parents who have lost a child, hopeforgrievingparents.com. A South Carolina native she resides in a rural area of the state with her husband.
