When Remi the Raven is born, his mother loves him and his siblings very much. They squawk and caw and make joyful noise together. As Remi gets older, he learns about all the other birds in the forest- Mr. Robin, Mrs. Jay, and the Cardinal family, with brightly colored feathers and beautiful songs to sing. But when Remi tries to join in the singing, he makes a loud, screechy sound that frightens the other birds. When they laugh at him and refuse to accept him because of his caw and black feathers, he feels unlovable and unhappy. Then he meets Mr. Owl, who has some wise advice and guidance for Remi. If he can accept himself, caw and all, and learn to forgive the other birds and himself, he can discover who he truly is. A reminder of the transformational power of forgiveness, this children's story tells the tale of a raven who learns to let go of looking to others for love and approval and finds love within his own heart.
