I remember my first letter, first poem, first script and first short story. I found an escape from myself back to myself through writing. Something about words unspoken, however, written gave immense solace to my wandering soul. I've always been very inquisitive, therefore, research came natural to me. Before I would write about a character or subject I would learn about their traits to make them more relate-able, and I do the same for myself. When I write about myself and my life I must tell the truth; it makes sense to me that way. Nikki Giovanni penned, "Poetry is employed by truth." Since a little genius I have been in love with compiling visuals, sounds and words to tell a story. Though I am not the only child, my imagination is of one who was forced to talk and play with themselves for many hours throughout the day. I guess the other people just didn't understand what me and my invisible friends were all about. However, I credit my mother's creativity for blessing me with the appreciation for the arts. Born October 31, 1983 I am a true eighties baby. I enjoy everything life has to offer; the good the bad and especially the mysteriously unexpected. I write about life, love and music because it embodies me and my generation. It's amazing how what I used to get 'use to' life is now my life. I don't mind exposing my truth to make sure the truth is heard. Yahweh blessed me that way. ParKer B
