In this research, we aimed the removal of heavy toxic metals (As, Cr, Hg and Cd) from industrial effluents by employing electrocoagulation technique. The removal efficiency of each metal has systematically been studied by changing various physico-chemical parameters. This method allows using different sacrificial electrodes, in which the sludge formation is very low. This research revealed that the electrocoagulation technique is an efficient technique for the removal of Heavy toxic metals from Industrial Effluents.

"Reddythota Daniel received PhD from JNTU, Hyderabad, India. His research during Ph.D was in the removal of heavy metals from industrial effluents using Electro-coagulation technique. And he worked as Research Associate at R&D Cell, JNTU. He joined SSRIET principal in 2009, handles classes in Environmental Science and Technology.
