Renaissance Papers is a collection of the best scholarly essays submitted each year to the Southeastern Renaissance Conference. The Conference accepts papers on all subjects relating to the Renaissance--music, art, history, literature, etc.--from scholars all over North America and the world. Other essays consider the John Eliot emendation in The Life of King Henry V, the justice and rationality of authority in The Winter's Tale, Marlowe's poetry of allusion and substitution in Hero and Leander, and the shape of Book X of Milton's Paradise Lost.
