I was born in Wales in 1958 and started my nursing career at aged 17. I migrated to Australia in 1987 and commenced at university after a 10 year break from nursing. I commenced work at Royal Perth Hospital in 1991 and completed a Bachelor of Nursing in 1992, Post Grad Dip in Mental Health in 1999 and a Masters of Nursing by research in 2009.
