Thus, it is difficult to produce recommendations that cover every eventuality. Second, it is not always in a building construction product producer's best interest to publish data that will help building owners repair their product. Producers, whose income derives from selling new products, do not necessarily applaud when their associations spend their money telling architects and building owners how to avoid buying their products. Finally, in the Building Renovation and Restoration Series we have a reference that recognizes that problems frequently occur with materials used in building projects.
