An experiment was conducted to study the effect of replacing Maize Offal with dried Cassava Peel Meal (CPM) on yield and composition of milk of the West African Dwarf (WAD) goats. Four diets were formulated to contain 0, 10, 20, and 30 percent CPM and designated A, B, C, and D respectively. Sixteen (16) lactating Does in their first parity were involved in this lactation study. The lactating Does were allotted to the four treatments comprising four (4) Does per treatment diets in a Completely Randomized Experimental Design and fed individually in separate pens. Milk yield was measured daily and analyzed for total solids (TS), butterfat (BF), crude protein (CP), solids-not-fat (SNF), lactose, ash, calcium, phosphorus, and energy. Furthermore, Solids-corrected milk (SCM) and fat-corrected milk (FCM) were also calculated.
