A novel exploration of the relation between Representation and Stability, using a comparative outlook of the 1957 and 1960 Elections in Lebanon, and the intervening civil war of 1958. This study shed lights on the events and causes of 1958 crisis, that was crucial in the formation of modern Lebanon and was used as a first trial run for the subsequent 1975-1990 civil war. This study is doubly important in view of the current turmoils engulfing the Middle East.
