Tras obtener su doctorado en Trabajo Social, Hymavathi trabajó en varios proyectos de ONG nacionales e internacionales, adquiriendo en el proceso experiencia práctica y conocimientos en desarrollo rural, académico, creación de capacidades y en investigación.
