Centrifugal compressors have been widely used in olefin separation units. However, the inherent attribute of centrifugal compressors-surge will cause serious harm to the compressor, seriously affecting the safe and stable operation of the process; hence, how to effectively prevent the compressor from surging is a practical problem that needs to be solved urgently. This paper takes the gas compressor unit of the olefin separation unit as the research background. Firstly, it introduced the compressor ITCC control scheme. Secondly, it analyzed the problems of the ITCC anti-surge control scheme. Thirdly, it proposed the improved control scheme-anti-surge control based on fuzzy control. Finally, Matlab software Simulink and the fuzzy logic toolbox were used for simulation analysis. The anti-surge control scheme based on fuzzy control proposed in this paper can not only prevent the compressor from surging but can also reduce the backflow effectively, which achieves the purpose of saving energy.
