BERNALES is a holder of a Doctor of Education degree on Educational Management from the University of Makati.He earned his Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelor in Secondary Education both at the Philippine Normal University-Manila. He is currently pursuing a law degree at the San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila, Philippines.
