This research investigates the development and application of Asset Management in both the public and private sectors, and represents current thinking with infrastructure and industrial asset owners. Besides exploring new ground in the application of knowledge management and decision-making to the principles and functions of Asset Management, as well as the application of developed theory for Integrated Asset Management decision modelling, the focus of this dissertation is to present a comprehensive insight into survey research methodology and related statistical analysis, principally as a case study for researchers seeking a similar approach to their research design. This dissertation thus covers the mixing of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in a more profound form of triangulation of method through combining the findings from observational quantitative conventional survey data with interpretive qualitative Modified Delphi survey feedback.
