Modern conditions of combat operations in the East of Ukraine, the level of development of artillery techniques, tactics and operative art put forward an urgent applied task regarding the quality of training of commanders for ground artillery land forces. Theoretical studies of the peculiarities of the combat activity of gunners in modern conditions of tactics of combat with ground artillery have established that this type of activity requires an officer to demonstrate muscular effort, high motor coordination, ability to focus attention, quickly and accurately perceive and recycle a large amountof information, ability during for a long time to maintain high mental performance and to co-operate in conditions of influence of unfavorable factors of combat situation.
