Rakotsoane holds a Bachelor of Philosophy Degree from the Urbaniana Uni of Rome, a Master of Social Sciences Degree, a Ph.D. from the Uni of Cape Town, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research Ethics from the Uni of Stellenbosch. He has published several books on a variety of subjects.
