Important to note are the psychological factors like attitude towards self, perception of the events, previous learning experiences and social support that remain as pillars to the refugees. This book is path breaking since it give a baseline that these refugees are still functioning at a certain psychological level despite severity of the PTSD symptoms.

Emmanuel Maziti is a lecturer in the department of psychology- Great Zimbabwe University teaching behavioral neuroscience. He is a holder of Msc in Clinical Psychology from University of Zimbabwe. He has taught at Women's University In Africa and is a regular columnist writing mental health issues in Masvingo based national newspaper(Mirror).
