Do you want to be more resilient? Do you need to be more resilient? Virtually all of us would answer, "Yes, but how?" Delays, distractions, difficulties, disease, death, disasters. Sooner or later, all of us face problems that shake our world and challenge our faith. We often want to run away, find a quick fix, blame someone, or ignore it and hope it goes away, but we've been around long enough to know that none of these "solutions" actually work. In fact, they only multiply our difficulties. We wonder, Where can we find a genuine source of hope and encouragement? How can we be genuinely resilient? These are the questions Dr. Craig Oliver answers in this book. He reminds us that God is never surprised by anything that happens to us, so we can be assured that He wants to use every situation as a test to strengthen us, not as a disaster to demoralize us. With powerful biblical insights, profound applications, gripping stories, and a touch of humor from time to time, Dr. Oliver is our guide to lead us over the bridge from fear-driven anxiety to faith-filled tenacity. This is how God will work deeply in your heart to make you more resilient. The message of grace, love, and power we find in this book is designed for individuals, couples, and small groups.
