The resins are one of the most versatile polymers under use today. Their use ranges from matrix in high performance composite materials for aerospace structures, to organic coatings and common adhesives for domestic applications. Many researchers have been done on the polyester resins, due to its versatile applications. Some of these researches investigated the mechanical properties of the polyester resins, such as tensile strength, impact resistance compression strength and others, and few of them have been done on the epoxy resins, although the epoxy has different types, easy in use and high mechanical properties. The key goal of this research consists of providing numerical and experimental tools able to predict the mechanical behavior of such two common type of resin are polyester and epoxy resin, which are being increasingly employed in the engineering practice, to select the proper mechanical properties between them. A finite element simulation model can be extended to apply for the tensile test of resin specimens and Study of the mechanical behavior and compare between the numerical results from a finite element simulation model and another one from experimental verification
