Autorenporträt
Marcus Thigpen was born May 15th, 1986 in the city of Detroit, MI. He is the father of four, and man of God. He is also an undrafted free agent in the NFL with a phenomenal will to succeed at the highest level of football. He continually fights the odds of the small margin of %1 of players who make it to the NFL level. Marcus received a full athletic scholarship to Indiana University where he excelled as a running back, wide receiver and kick returner. He graduated from Indiana University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Minor in Criminal Justice. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after being undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft. Thigpen has also held roster spots on the Denver Broncos, Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL), Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL), Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots (practice roster), Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, the Buffalo Bills and most recently The Saskatchewan Roughrider. Throughout his eleven-year professional athlete career, he has broken and set records in Indiana, the NFL, and CFL that still stand unbroken today. Marcus encourages other athletes to know that while they're in the midst of transitioning in and out of different phases in life, they are being stretched and worked on to prepare them for what's to come. He shares with athletes who want to go to the pro level, Everything you go through isn't necessarily for the here and now, sometimes it's for later. So, when circumstances look bad, and it looks like there is no way out, I encourage you to have hope that you are being shaped for what's to come.
