Produktbeschreibung
The use of adhesive fixed prostheses is an excellent alternative to replace incisors and first premolars in edentulous spaces, due to its low cost and less invasiveness to adjacent dental tissues. In this context, reinforcement materials such as glass fibers have been widely used to maintain better strength and stability of prosthetic structures. This book aims to evaluate in the scientific literature the main aspects related to the use of fiberglass for adhesive fixed partial dentures, in order to provide subsidies for a better understanding of this clinical and therapeutic approach. The databases PubMed/Mediline, Scopus, Science Direct, Scielo and a bibliographic survey in books and other scientific bases were used. In view of the above, it was observed that adhesive fixed partial dentures are considered viable clinical alternatives for minimally invasive dental rehabilitation. Moreover, it was found in the scientific literature that the use of fiberglass promotes greater reinforcement in the prosthetic structure, properly restoring function and aesthetics.
