Dr. Okanigbe Daniel Ogochukwu is an Assistant Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. Prof Patricia Popoola is a Full Professor and Research/Development Platform Holder (Sustainable Energy) at the Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa. Prof Patricia Popoola obtained her BSc (Honours) degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Nigeria; Masters and Doctoral degrees in Metallurgical Engineering at the Tshwane University of Technology. She is a COREN-registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria; she is a member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Laser Institute of America. She has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in academia in Nigeria and South Africa. Her immense contributions to engineering teaching and learning, as well as curriculum development is acclaimed in engineering field. Prof Popoola's primary research area is in Metallurgical and Materials engineering, with main activities in advanced engineering materials development for various applications. She has authored/co-authored more than 450 papers in referred journals (ISI/Scopus-indexed); produced 2 patents; 42 book chapters; more than 100 papers in referred conference proceedings; and more than 100 oral/poster presentations at national/international conferences. As a researcher, her publications have shown dedication to research and development in the engineering field, which is an indication of her ability to work independently. To date, Prof Patricia Popoola has made a lot of impact with her publications, which have been acknowledged both locally and internationally. Human Capacity Development is her prime objective, evident by her contributions in this regard; shehas produced thirty-four Master's and nineteen Doctoral degree graduates and mentored 14 Postdoctoral fellows as well as emerging researchers. Prof Popoola has written numerous grants winning proposals, which has brought funds locally and internationally. Prof Popoola and her students are recipients of numerous academic excellence awards; some which are the Vice Chancellor Researcher of the Years (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018). q Senior Researcher of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment for the Years (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). q National Research Foundation South Africa - C3 Category Rated Researcher (2012-2021). q Woman Researcher of the Years (2011 - Until 2018).
