Responding to student success challenges in higher education and training is strategically important. This work is particularly aimed at those institutions seeking answers to capacity and strategic questions, e.g. where the necessary expertise are lacking, or where the existing interventions are rather limited. While Volume 1 addresses fundamental, contextual and strategic matters, Volume 2 covers appropriate actions to make a difference, based on a multipronged approach. Content topics include: vital and emerging teacher roles, quality teaching, fostering student independence, diversity-oriented teaching, advanced aspects of student assessment, accommodating students with disabilities, and students' key skills. A number of case studies present transforming initiatives for learning enhancement and promoting student success.
