Mushrooms are an article of diet, which serve as an adjunct to world food production. Mushroom is an excellent supplement of protein diet having highest percentage of protein amongst the vegetables. The objectives of the present books are: (a) to determine the morphological parameters of important species of Pleurotus (b) to evaluate different Pleurotus spp. in different seasons and substrate supplements. (c) to determine the protein content in different species of Pleurotus under different substrate supplements. (d) to find out the best substrate and supplement for maximization of yield and quality of mushroom and (e) to determine the best temperature and relative humidity to get maximum yield.
