The field investigation entitled 'Response of Transplanted pigeonpea (Cajanus Cajan (L.) Millsp.) to different planting geometry and land configuration''conducted at Department of Agronomy, Vilasrao Deshmukh College of Agricultural Biotechonology, Latur. The experiment was laid out in FRBD with three replication and 24 plot , the gross and net plot size of each experimental unit was : 6.30 x 4.20 m2 and 4.50 x 3.60 m2 respectively .The treatments were two land configuration treatments i.e. flat bed and ridges and furrow and four spacing treatments Dibbling of seed 90 x 20 cm, Transplanting 90 x 20 cm, Transplanting 60 x 30 cm, Transplanting 90 x 60 cm. The sowing was done in polythene bag on 25th June 2014 by dibbling and transplanting done on 25th July 2014. The land configuration treatments of ridges and furrow were found beneficial in improving growth characters, yield attributes and yield in pigeonpea than flat bed planting.Transplanted pigeonpea at 90 x 60 cm was significantly higher grain yield (2407 kg ha-1) is found beneficial in improving growth characters, yield attributes and yield over all of the treatment.
