Autorenporträt
Christine M. Kendall enjoys the collaborative process of a writing group; she was delighted when Confluence Poets came together in 2014. Meeting with other poets presents an opportunity for new poems to be spoken aloud, and to receive critiques. She also enjoys public readings and audience feedback. She was a featured reader at the 2019 Ellensburg Poetry Prowl. Her poetry covers life experiences past and present. After moving to the Methow Valley to a home on Upper Beaver Creek in 2012, much of her writing is inspired by nature's astonishments and delights, and changes in the environment brought by light, weather, or seasonal transitions. Her work has been published in several journals and anthologies. She published a chapbook, Talk, in 1998, and two collections of poetry, Resting in the Familiar, published by Independent Writers' Studio in 2017, and At Home on Upper Beaver Creek: Prose and Poetry, in October, 2020.
