Demlie Asratie est ingénieur textile (MSC en chimie textile) et chef du département d'évaluation de la qualité et de gestion environnementale à l'Institut éthiopien de développement de l'industrie textile. Son domaine de recherche est principalement axé sur la conversion des déchets textiles en produits entièrement utilisables.
