In a time long before our existence, magical animals lived on Earth. They had peaceful, simple, and secure lives here, helping one another, watching and learning. There was no need to find food, for the forests would always hold fruit-bearing plants, and every trace of water was pure. That is, until the humans came. These humans had no care for peace. They destroyed the land, poisoned the water, killed off the forests! They only fought for power and wealth, and bound the magical creatures against their wills. Rebellions were useless-they only resulted in more deaths. The weakened survivors thought that they would be altogether wiped out of existence. However, a rare stroke of luck arrived in time-Not all humans were cruel. A group of wizards and witches in a similar crisis decided to help the dragons, unicorns, griffins and others open a portal to another world, a world where they would be safe from the other humans. The magical creatures adapted to this strange realm, each to its element of wind, water, fire, earth, those combined, and those created. They wouldn''t need to worry about being found; a memory spell was cast on the merciless humans to forget everything they had experienced with the creatures. The survivors thrived peacefully in this world that became known as Mystica, named for its strange and wondrous regions. The magical creatures quickly settled and became inhabitants known as myteria-Now, every single mythical beast, regardless of shape or size, was referred to as a myteria, for was there no other name they could be called besides mythical creatures themselves? . The myteria were reassured that they were safe. Nothing could threaten to wipe them out of existence anymore. Nothing, not anymore, not until now.
