Veltisezar Bautista, a Filipino American and a 10-book-award winner, is uniquely qualified to write a book on diabetes, kidney disease, and heart disease. He has reversed his type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, put them into remission, reversed his heart disease severity, and stabilized it into a better condition. A former journalist, Bautista uses his journalistic writing style in every book he writes. In his 90s, he still does moderate-intensity walking daily, covering 3 miles to 4 miles week after week, month after month.He has written and published eight other nonfiction books, including The Filipino Americans (1763-Presdent): Their History, Culture, and Traditions.)
