For a very long time now many concerns, over the depletion of fossil fuels and the increasing pollution, are being raised by various environmentalists all over the world. For a very long time now many concerns, over the depletion of fossil fuels and the increasing pollution, are being raised by various environmentalists all over the world. This made humans realize the need for a new sustainable fuel which does not cause pollution or is more efficient. Before finally selecting an alternative fuel, which will be made the center of focus of all the investors and researchers, we needed to evaluate all the available options. This search ended up with an innovative idea of using Brown or HHO gas as a fuel enhancer in internal combustion engines which as of now run on fossil fuels primarily. The intention of this project is to evaluate the optimum engine performance parameters when running on partially HHO and also to find a very efficient production apparatus design. The methodology for this project involves - an elaborate literature review of nearly 60 research papers that revolve around all the five alternate fuels discussed in the report their advantages, setbacks, and recent developments. This gives us an opportunity to know about whether it is an optimum choice to select HHO for research.
