This paper provides a critical review of pedagogic practices in the Research Method in Accounting module, with the objective of offering insights into the teaching of this module. The pedagogic review covers multiple aspects, including in-class teaching, student learning, assessment and feedback strategies, evaluation of teaching, and module design. Students should adapt themselves to the teaching done by instructors, but at the same time, it is also important for instructors to adjust their teaching to cater for the needs of the students' learning. Students have varied academic background, foundation, and talent, and their learning styles/processes differ from one another. A good lecturer should be able to keep adjusting his or her teaching to make it suited for all the students' learning at all times. We shall keep learning from our teaching and from students' learning, and proactively undertake in-depth critical reviews of our pedagogic practices whereby making our teaching become better and better.
