Autorenporträt
George W. Ware was Professor Emeritus of Entomology and Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Arizona. He was an Author of eight books and more than 150 scientific articles on pesticide chemistry and toxicology, pesticide application drift, pesticide residues, and radiation biology. ¿Francis Alan Gunther served the University of California for the whole of his professional life. He spent a career of 44 years as a leader in the development of analytical methods for pesticide residues and in the determination of the physical and chemical fates of pesticides and related chemical residues in the environment. While so doing, he developed anddirected what was indeed a national and international center of research on these subjects.
