SANDRA SOO-JIN LEE is a senior research scholar at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at Stanford University. SARAH S. RICHARDSON is a doctoral student in the Program in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University.
