Mity Thambi é atualmente membro do corpo docente do Departamento de Química do Catholicate College. Obteve o seu doutoramento na Universidade de Calicut. Publicou 15 artigos internacionais, publicou 2 livros de texto e apresentou os seus trabalhos de investigação em várias revistas internacionais e nacionais. Os seus interesses de investigação são a fitoquímica e a química orgânica sintética.
