Autorenporträt
Linda Collison's composite career includes critical care and emergency nursing, teaching skydiving, volunteer firefighting, and writing. With her husband, Bob Russell, she has sailed thousands of nautical miles, many of them aboard their sailboat Topaz. The three weeks they spent as voyage crewmembers aboard HM Bark Endeavour, a replica of Captain James Cook's ship, sparked her interest in maritime history and inspired the acclaimed Young Adult novel Star-Crossed (Alfred A Knopf; 2006) which evolved into Barbados Bound; Book 1 of the Patricia MacPherson's Nautical Adventure Series, adult historical fiction.
