A short book about the Maker's search. Riddled with Spots traces the journey of artists (also known as The Moonlight Hunters) on the search for their creations. This pictorial poem was created as a posthumous collaboration between Charles Whymper and contemporary artist Sarah Zar. A visual narrative that invites interpretation, the space and pacing reflects how artists internalize the world, and how the world internalizes them.

*Sarah Zar is a northern-dwelling, migratory bird. This particular Zar has a collection of imaginary avians that enjoy flying around her neck when the winds are rising. Her species is noted for its colorful use of dream logic. S. Zar is an interdisciplinary artist/educatrix who studied art and literature at the Ontario College of Art and Design & SUNY Albany, and holds an MFA from Montclair. She has taught theory and studio courses (contemporary art & aesthetics, as well as subjects integrating the studio arts with quantum theory, literary theory, NLP, nonsense cryptology, and the art of microexpressions) to Master's and future Master's degree students in NYC and surrounding areas. Zar has been the recipient of numerous interdisciplinary awards, including The Roanne Kulakoff Award for Painting and the Bradley Smith Award for Sculpture. She has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad, including shows at Denise Bibro Fine Art/ Platform Gallery in NYC, Pratt Institute, Janet Kurnatowski Gallery, the Chautauqua Institution, Sideshow Gallery, BLAM, Afterhours Projects, and Stephen Romano Gallery. She spends her time making art, curating, playing the singing saw, and reading a preposterous amount of books.
