This book examines the laws that make available to health, employment and work rights for persons with disabilities in Pakistan and all over the World. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006 ensures health, employment and work rights under Article 25 & 27 respectively, whereas Pakistani laws on disability rights as Mental Health Ordinance 2001 and Disabled Persons (Employment and Rehabilitation) 1981 do not cover the health, employment and work rights of persons with disabilities in the same footing. The research aims at highlighting the problems of the Pakistani law since persons with disabilities in the State are not provided health, employment and work rights. The deficiencies of the Pakistani laws are identified through drawing comparison of the UN Convention and Pakistani laws on the rights of persons with disabilities and some recommendations have been made which will harmonize the Pakistani legislation under the UN Convention on disability rights.
